Self-improvement is a life-long mindset and the easiest way to get to the mindset is from reading self-improvement books. Followed by Youtube, in my opinion ◡̈

Easiest as this can happen in your own time, at your own place.

1. Be Your Future Self Now by Dr. Benjamin Hardy

3 key takeaways are 1. Your future self should drive every decision today 2. Long-term goals create present power and 3. You must emotionally connect to your future self

This book is one that would resonate with anyone who wants to become their own role model. 1000% motivating, gives hope that anyone can become whatever their ideal version of themselves is.

Once you have determined on your future self, or the version that you want yourself to be in 5 or 10 or 30 years, all you need to do is to keep that version in your mind as you make your day to day decisions (˜16000/day). Ask yourself – is this decision that I make today, going to get me closer to where I want my future self to be?

Inspiring goals are powerful in the present. Again, because they drive your present decisions.

You need to be vested in your future self. If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, and your goal is far from where you are now, you will 100% not reach your goal.

Make small simple steps in the direction of your future self, starting NOW.

2. Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

3 key takeaways are 1. Desire is the Starting Point of All Achievement 2. Faith and Autosuggestion Reprograms the Subconscious and 3. Persistence and a Definite Plan are Non Negotiables

This book is often quoted by many successful self made entrepreneurs and for a good reason. Many of the new self-improvement books authors quote learnings from this book.

All starts with your own desire, have faith in your actions that are driven towards your desire and have the grit to sustain the actions.

That is all you need to achieve your goal, whatever it might be.

3. Limitless by Jim Kwik

3 key takeaways are 1. Your brain is a supercomputer – upgrade the software 2. Learning how to learn is the ultimate skill (like babies) and 3. Small Daily Habits compound into mental mastery.

If you haven’t noticed, all the takeaways are similar across the 3 self-improvement books.

Having read self-improvement books across a wide spectrum of industries and cultures, I am 1000% convinced that all the takeaways in this post have to be true.

Particularly inspiring is Jim Kwik’s conviction that everyone is a genius in their own definition as long as you believe you are.

You can train your brain to learn (neuroplasticity) whatever you are interested in. You will become the expert in whatever are you are interested to learn about.

Lastly and again comes the grit and persistence of small simple and sustained steps towards your goal.

This is why I am convinced of my own success in becoming my own role model. Having this confidence and mindset drives me to continue posting and making content ◡̈
