Have you asked yourself the question ‘Am I Aging Well?’ Recently? If you have, well done and what was the answer? If you haven’t, it’s not too late to ask. And think about your answer.
This question is important as it is what you think about yourself. Not what others think but purely how you rate your life to date, almost.
I had written about ways to systemize well aging in the prior blog. Everyone would have a different criteria on well aging. Hence, this question relies on what you find the most important in your life.
However, I would think if you can answer yes to the 3 questions, whatever your criteria is, it means you are aging well.

1. Are you becoming a better version of yourself?
Objective of this first self question is to ensure you can say Yes which in turn will make you feel better to continue to work on yourself to become better.
After all, self-growth is a life long journey.
As long as you can say I am better than yesterday in 1 thing, you should be able to say yes.
How do you tell if you’re a better version of yourself today vs yesterday or vs last year?
One tip is to record in a journal or take photos/videos to record. Whether it’s your skin that’s improving or a song you’re able to play better on the piano, or the amount of books you’ve read over the past year….it’s always easier to tell the answer on your growth if you record and have evidence to show yourself.
2. Are you inspired to become better?
This question is asking yourself about the now, how you are feeling about your path forward.
Being inspired to do better, is an innate human desire that brings out the positive outlook in one’s life.
When you are inspired or motivated towards something that you don’t currently have but want to have or achieve, the brain produces hormones that make you feel happy and positive in order to boost you to drive towards achieving that goal. Not only your brain gets uplifted, your physical body as well as the same hormones will boost immunity.
3. Are you happy with yourself? Am I aging well?
This is the ultimate question in life. At least in my view. If you’re happy with what you are now, there’s nothing more you need to do differently. Just continue. Chances are that you’ve answered yes to the prior 2 questions.
If your answer is no, then start thinking what you are not that happy about and find the answers to the prior 2 questions and start acting on them. One small step at a time.
I thinks asking yourself these basic yet significant questions in life is so important. One that we don’t do enough these days given all the distractions in modern life.
Hence, I will use the next few blogs as a Questions To Myself series.
